Too Bid or Not Too Bid

Bid Withdrawal - SaskPower

The union office has seen an increase in requests to withdraw bids after the closing date. To help in your navigation of job bids:

Article 10.07 Bid Withdrawal: No withdrawal of an application for a position will be permitted if it is not received in writing to Human Resources by midnight on the closing date of the job bulletin.

What does this mean? If you bid a job and are the most senior qualified applicant, you are going to be appointed to the position. Always read the entire job posting before you submit your application. We encourage you to have a discussion with the manager prior to the closing date of the bid so that you can withdraw you bid if you find the position may not suit you. If you bid on a position and wish to withdraw your bid after the closing date, there is no guarantee that the company will accommodate the request.
